Tonja Hurt

Financial Secretary/Pastor's Assistant

Tonja Hurt started working for Procter Baptist Church as a volunteer in January of 1998. In June of that same year she officially joined the staff as a paid worker.  She started her employment as financial secretary and later became assistant to the pastor and financial secretary.  Tonja is a native of Port Arthur and a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School where she was a band member and sergeant of the flag corp.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Lamar University in Accounting in 1985.

Tonja received Christ and was baptized when she was a young girl at Ninth Avenue Baptist Church in Port Arthur.  She and her husband Robert have two children, Krystal and Matthew. Robert works at Veolea ES in Port Arthur and has surrendered his life to the ministry.
